Galerie Dwingeloo is part of a broader artistic community in the village.
Kunstzomer Dwingeloo 2026 takes place from 18 July through 23 August, every Thursday through Sunday from 1 to 5 pm. Admission is free.
The event is spread across six locations within 500 metres of one another around Dwingeloo’s village green: Galerie Dwingeloo (Entingheweg 20A), De Brinksteen (Entingheweg 1), Sint Nicolaaskerk (Brink 29), Atelier Gepke Hoekstra (Brink 15), a traditional farmhouse (Brink 3A) and a stately house (Brink 40).
At Galerie Dwingeloo, Kunstcollectief OAD exhibits alongside weekly guest exhibitors, demonstrations and workshops. De Brinksteen presents ceramics and paintings, including throwing demonstrations. Work by Siemen Dijkstra is shown in Sint Nicolaaskerk. Artists from Dwingeloo exhibit at the other locations, including a retrospective by Gepke Hoekstra.
Kunstzomer Dwingeloo is organised by Stichting Sint Nicolaaskerk, Pottenbakkerij De Brinksteen, Kunstcollectief OAD and Dorpshuis Over Entinghe. Because the community centre is being renovated in 2026, the participating artists’ exhibitions are spread across several locations around the village green this year.
