Lorenzo Modestini works between drawing, performance and activism, asking what an image can do when it emerges in a direct, shared and materially honest way.
Biography
Lorenzo graduated with honours from Minerva Art Academy at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in 2022. His practice includes performance, family portraiture, installation and work made with accessible or harvested materials. He has taken part in exhibitions and residencies in the Netherlands and Greece, and won the Fine Arts Award at the 2022 Future Graduation Show.
AIR Dwingeloo
AIR Dwingeloo gives Lorenzo time and calm to deepen his research into mark making. He plans to bring performance, family portraiture, small works and alternative forms of exchange together. The residency becomes a place for experimentation, dialogue and a practice that is not organised solely around the sale of art.
